NBA 2K League Week 9 Preview

CHOC FULL o’NETS: With monthly averages of 28 points per game and 8.8 assists per game, NetsGC rookie point guard Josh “Choc” Humphries was named NBA 2K League Player of the Month for June. Prior to being drafted by NetsGC, the Tampa-native played college basketball at State Fair Community College in Missouri. Humphries and NetsGC (5-4) will host Bucks Gaming tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
RAPTORS UPRISING GC CLINCH: With a victory over the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai (5-7) last Thursday, Raptors Uprising GC (12-0) became the first team to clinch a spot in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs. Point guard Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey, who was named NBA 2K League Player of the Week for the third time this season, will lead Raptors Uprising GC when they return to action next week to host Pacers Gaming on Thursday, July 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
BIG BUCKETS FOR THE BUCKS: Last Tuesday, Bucks Gaming rookie point guard Reginald “Regg” Nash netted 54 points and 10 assists in a 110-55 victory over Celtics Crossover Gaming. With 110 points scored, Milwaukee set the new NBA 2K League record for most points scored in an NBA 2K League game. The previous record of 109 was set by Raptors Uprising GC on June 12. VANDI, VIDI, VICI: With playoff positioning on the horizon, Grizz Gaming (5-5) will enter Week 9 with key matchups against Mavs Gaming (8-4) tonight at 7 p.m. ET and Blazer5 Gaming (5-5) Thursday, July 9 at 9 p.m. ET. Grizz Gaming is led by second year point guard Zach “Vandi” Vandiver (30.4 ppg, 7.6 apg), who was named a finalist for the NBA 2K League Player of the Month award for June.
WEDNESDAY ON THE WORLDWIDE LEADER: ESPN2 will broadcast NBA 2K League matches live on Wednesday, July 8 at 7 p.m. ET.

SACRAMENTO CRUSH: With the third pick in the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft delivered by Panera Bread, Kings Guard Gaming (7-3) selected Rafel “Crush” Davis from the South Bronx. Davis, who plays small forward, has emerged as one of the best defensive players in the league. THIS IS NOT A GAME: A suburb of New York City, Mount Vernon has produced three NBA 2K League players: Aaron “Arooks” Rookwood (Bucks Gaming), Shaka “Yeah I Compete” Browne (Jazz Gaming), and Lytel “Lotty” Martin (Jazz Gaming).
