NBA 2K League International Qualifying Events
December 21, 2020
As part of the NBA 2K League’s continued commitment to identifying the best players in the world, this offseason the league is hosting a series of online qualifying events for top international players and will award draft eligibility to top performers from each event.
From Dec. 13 – 14, Gen.G and the NBA 2K League collaborated to host the “NBA 2K League 2020 Gen.G Shanghai Invitational,” an online tournament featuring top Chinese 2K players.
In January, the NBA 2K League will host the second NBA 2K League European Invitational (Jan. 8 – 10) and third NBA 2K League APAC Invitational (Jan. 15 – 17), which will feature top players from Europe and the broader Asia-Pacific region competing in high-intensity, online gameplay in front of NBA 2K League coaches and scouts. The structure for each invitational is below:
Day 1: Open Qualifier Tournament
Day 2: Invitational Combine
Day 3: Invitational Tournament
All games will be played on Sony PlayStation 5 and draft hopefuls must sign up as teams for either event. Additional details including signup information will be announced at a later date and found at the following link.
Players who earned eligibility for the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft through last offseason’s international qualifying events will automatically be eligible for the 2021 Draft but still can compete in the European or APAC Invitational in January.

In all cases, draft eligibility is contingent on passing a background check and satisfying all NBA 2K League eligibility requirements.
