THE TURN Powered By AT&T Preview

LET’S TURN IT UP: The NBA 2K League’s second in-season tournament of the season, THE TURN powered by AT&T, starts Wednesday, July 22 and runs through Saturday, July 25. All 23 teams will participate in the tournament remotely from their local markets and will compete for a total prize pool of $260,000, the largest prize pool ever for an in-season tournament. All matches will air live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch channel, in addition to select matches airing live on ESPN’s digital platforms, the NBA 2K League’s YouTube channel and on delay on eGG Network in Southeast Asia. ESPN2 will air matches live on Wednesday, July 22 at 8 p.m. ET and The TURN Semifinals and Finals on Saturday, July 25 at 3 p.m. ET. Click here for additional details.

RELIABLE REGG: Bucks Gaming point guard Reginald “Regg” was named NBA 2K League Player of the Week for Week 10 On July 16, the impressive rookie connected on a series-winning three-pointer over Kings Guard Gaming to help Bucks Gaming’s playoff chances. Nash and Bucks Gaming (7-6) will host NBA 2K League scoring leader Albano “oFAB” Thomollari (34.3 ppg) and Celtics Crossover Gaming during their opening match of THE TURN tomorrow at 6 p.m. ET.

SMOOTH JAZZ: Propelled by rookie point guard Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram (26.3 ppg, 6.2 apg) and his last second assist to Lytel “Lotty” Martin against Grizz Gaming on July 17, Jazz Gaming (11-2) clinched a playoff spot in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs, the team’s first playoff berth in its three-year history. Jazz Gaming joins Raptors Uprising GC as the second team to clinch a spot in the 2020 playoffs, which tip off Wednesday, August 19. Jazz Gaming hold the No. 2 seed in THE TURN and will face the winner of Cavs Legion GC vs. Hawks Talon GC on Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. ET.

SIZZLING SIXERS: With two wins in Week 10, 76ers GC (6-8) enters THE TURN on a five game winning streak. After winning THE TIPOFF in 2018 and 2019, the team has a track record of NBA 2K League tournament success. Led by veteran point guard Ethan “Radiant” White (31.0 ppg, 6.6 apg), 76ers GC will begin its quest to win another tournament when it hosts Heat Check Gaming tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET.

VIRTUAL SPLASH BROTHERS: Defending champions of THE TURN, Warriors Gaming Squad has received stellar play from point guard Charlie “CB13” Bostwick (31.7 ppg, 8.4 apg). On July 15, Warriors Gaming Squad earned its 10th victory of the season by defeating Bucks Gaming. In the two-game series, shooting guard Alexander “BSmoove” Reese tallied 12 three-pointers and shot 93-percent from beyond the arc.

THIS IS NOT A GAME – DAYFRI: Before becoming a fan favorite in the NBA 2K
League, Wizards District Gaming center Ryan “Dayfri” Conger was an accomplished baseball player. The Dallas-area native began playing the sport at four years old and earned a scholarship to play catcher at Letourneau University. While playing baseball, Conger torn his ACL, began playing NBA 2K, and the rest is history. Drafted by Mavs Gaming in the inaugural NBA 2K League Draft, he was acquired by Wizards District 2019 via trade prior to the 2019 season. Conger and Wizards District Gaming (10-2) will begin their quest to win THE TURN on Thursday, July 23 at 5 p.m. ET.
