The last week of the regular season has come to a close and with it, another power rankings article emerges. Couple of changes in each category as we creep closer and closer to the 5v5 NBA 2K League Ticket and Playoffs. Let’s dive into our power rankings for the week and break down the alterations.

 

Contenders

1. Warriors Gaming Squad (16-2)
2. Heat Check Gaming (11-3) 
3. T-Wolves Gaming (10-4)
4. Bucks Gaming (9-7)
5. Cavs Legion GC (9-3)
6. Raptors Uprising GC (11-9)

 

A little reshuffle and a new addition to the contenders list! Cavs Legion makes the official leap after an impressive 5-1 Turn that saw them only lose to Heat Check Gaming. Their top 5 defense mixed with some impressive 3-point shot-making makes them an incredibly tough out and when you mix that with Coach Mike Newton’s championship experience, it screams contender to me. In other news, Miami moves up officially to #2 after a 6-0 Turn run. They’ve taken a big leap and now look like the team to beat in the East. The last proof we need is them winning on stage against a quality opponent. A good turn in D.C.> is just the momentum they need heading into the title.

 

Damn Good

10. Pacers Gaming (7-5)

 

As the ticket looms and the playoffs get closer, this section gets smaller and smaller. I think you could make an argument that these 4 teams could be split into the two groups around them, but I’ll keep them there for one more week to see what happens. Pistons GT needs a little more marinating with the new defense and Pacers Gaming has some great underlying that the eye test doesn’t quite match yet, but this week in the Turn should show us everything we need to know. Wiz DG right now feels closer to a contender than a bubble team as well.

Funny enough, we have two teams who made the Turn in Magic Gaming and CLTX on this list, a last ditch effort from both to make it to the playoffs without the dreaded Ticket. They both have difficult round 1 matchups and if they lose, they don’t make the playoffs. It’s that simple. I hate to put their entire seasons down to that one game, but….that’s the game sadly! Knicks Gaming stands at the top, hoping, praying, waiting for them both to lose and for them to make the playoffs without having to win the Ticket like they did last season.
