Bucks Gaming has come into the 2023 season firing on all cylinders. After posting a record of 8-0 throughout group play, they must shift their focus to one of the best amateur teams that the Slam Open has to offer in XSET. In order to come out with the victory, Cooks has to maintain the hot hand that he had throughout group play. If he is able to control the game, take quality shots, and limit his turnovers, Bucks Gaming should have no problem coming out on top in this series. On the other side of the coin, Dawsix must find a way to wreak havoc defensively to find a way to contain NotEliteShooter to avoid surrendering the upset loss to open bracket play in the Slam Open. Who comes out on top?

 

XSET Gaming storms into the Slam Open with upset on their minds. After playing through the qualifier and getting to this point, XSET Gaming now faces the daunting task of attempting to take down the number one seed in Bucks Gaming. If XSET Gaming wants to pull off a stunning upset, NotEliteShooter must rise to the occasion to prove why he should be considered one of the best in the world. He must find a way to make it rain from beyond the arc and limit his turnovers. On the flip side, they must formulate a plan to stay in front of Cooks and force some turnovers throughout the series to give themselves the best chance to make this series competitive.

Hornets Venom GT vs Grizz Gaming 3/21 7:30pm

Hornets Venom GT enters Slam Open bracket play looking to build off of their  first wins of the season last week, one of which coming against Grizz Gaming. Bouji is the engine that makes the car go for them, but he has failed to live up to expectations so far this season. With an opportunity to look forward to bracket play, how will he respond in order to silence the doubters? The key to success for Bouji and Hornets Venom GT is to take advantage of the potential lapses defensively from Grizz Gaming and minimizing their turnovers offensively. Defensively, Big Saint must find a way to smother CP to limit his looks from beyond the arc and make him uncomfortable on the offensive end. If Bouji is able to control the game and if Big Saint is able to lead the charge defensively, Hornets Venom GT should put themselves in a great position to come out on top.

 

Grizz Gaming stumbles into bracket play looking to right the wrongs from last week in which they lost all of their games. How will the rookie in CP respond to his first taste of adversity In the NBA 2K League? In order for Grizz Gaming to come out on top in this matchup, they must improve on both ends of the floor. Logic has to find ways to create chaos defensively to limit Bojui’s success from the field. Offensively, CP has to make it rain from downtown and his teammates  must help him out by knocking down the crucial shots when they’re needed most. If they are able to execute, they have a good chance to emerge victorious.

 

Kings Guard Gaming vs Utah Jazz Gaming 3/21 10:30pm

 

Kings Guard Gaming has entered bracket play on an extreme downhill spiral, having not won a series all season long thus far. With bracket play looming, Kings Guard Gaming has the chance to rewrite the script during round one. Some questions remain for this squad, will the abysmal defense that they have possessed so far this season remain or will they be able to go into bracket play and pull off the shocking upset? In order to do so, Kerry must be able to stifle Rek defensively to limit his success from the field and Bash must be able to go basket for basket with Rek due to the defensive hardships so far.

 

Jazz Gaming has emerged as a darkhorse to take the entire 3v3 Slam Open after finding success in group play. Standing in their way is a matchup vs KingsGuard Gaming. In order to cash in a victory, Rek must be efficient from downtown and minimize his turnovers. Defensively, Kaze must create mayhem to ensure that they take Bash out of the game, which will ensure that they force somebody else to beat them. If they are able to make Kings Guard Gaming uncomfortable and if they are able to bring some offensive firepower, they will be able to take the series victory.
