THE TIPOFF POWERED BY AT&T – FACT SHEET
- THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T will be a four-day tournament (Tuesday, June 16 – Friday, June 19) that will consist of at least 60 games. All 23 teams will participate in the tournament remotely from their local markets.
- THE TIPOFF features two days of pool play on June 16-17 to determine the eight teams that advance to the playoffs on June 18-19. Pool play comprises five groups of three teams and two groups of four teams. Each team will play four games in pool play, competing against two other teams in its group twice. At the conclusion of pool play, the seven teams with the best records in each group as well as one wild card entrant will advance to the playoffs, with tiebreaker scenarios applying if needed (see below). Each matchup in the playoff rounds will be played in a best-of-three format.

- Group 1: 76ers GC, NetsGC, Pistons GT
- Group 2: Celtics Crossover Gaming, Jazz Gaming, Mavs Gaming
- Group 3: Grizz Gaming, Pacers Gaming, Warriors Gaming Squad
- Group 4: Hawks Talon GC, Kings Guard Gaming, Magic Gaming
- Group 5: Bucks Gaming, Heat Check Gaming, Knicks Gaming
- Group 6: Blazer5 Gaming, Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai, Lakers Gaming, Raptors Uprising GC
- Group 7: Cavs Legion GC, Hornets Venom GT, T-Wolves Gaming, Wizards District Gaming
- Below are the tiebreaker scenarios for THE TIPOFF:
- Winning percentage within group of pool play rounds
- Head-to-head record within group
- Average points differential within group
- Average points scored within group
- Technical fouls accumulated throughout the NBA 2K League regular season
- Random draw
- Games will begin at 6 p.m. ET on June 16-17 and at 7 p.m. on June 18-19, and will air live on ESPN2, ESPN’s digital platforms and the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels. In Canada, Sportsnet will broadcast games on Tuesday, June 16 from 6-9 p.m. ET. Games will also air on delay on eGG Network in Southeast Asia.
- All 23 teams will compete for a total prize pool of $160,000. The winner of THE TIPOFF will earn nearly half of the prize pool, with the remainder awarded to the runner-up, third- and fourth- place finishers (first place – $70,000; second place – $50,000; third and fourth place – $20,000 each).
- In addition to prize money, THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T is the first of three in-season tournaments (THE TIPOFF, THE TURN and THE TICKET) in which teams compete for banners that link together to form THE BANNER CHAIN powered by AT&T.
- 76ers GC is the two-time defending champion of THE TIPOFF.
- Following THE TIPOFF, remote gameplay will continue for at least four more weeks (through Week 11 of the regular season/Friday, July 17).
