CLOUD NINE: It was a historic week for Mavs Gaming as they improved to 9-0 in the 2019 regular season, setting the NBA 2K League record for longest winning streak to start a regular season. The record was previously held by the 2018 Blazer5 Gaming team that started 7-0. On Wednesday, May 22, Dallas point guard Artreyo “Dimez” Boyd recorded 25 points and eight assists in a 59-45 win over Bucks Gaming. Later that night, rookie Moustapha “Mo” Saab (left) tallied 37 points and seven rebounds in a 81-59 victory over Pistons GT.

CRAZY EIGHT: With two victories in Week 6, Blazer5 Gaming extended their regular-season winning streak to eight games. Point guard Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser continued his impressive season with double-doubles in each game, earning him the Intel Player of the Week Award for Week 6. The veteran registered 22 points and 11 rebounds in a 61-53 win over Raptors Uprising while contributing 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 56-48 victory over Celtics Crossover Gaming.

DRAKE AND THE BUCKS: On Thursday, May 23, Bucks Gaming halted Warriors Gaming Squad’s momentum. Golden State entered the contest with six consecutive victories overall, highlighted by winning THE TURN powered by AT&T in Las Vegas. Milwaukee point guard Aaron “Arooks” Rookwood, known as “Game6Drake” in the 2018 season, led his team to the impressive 64-60 victory with 22 points and eight rebounds.

WEEK 6 GRINDERS

• Celtics Crossover Gaming point guard Albano “oFAB” Thomallari netted 36 points along with 13 assists in an 86-63 victory over Heat Check Gaming.

• Waseem “BallLikeSeem” Talbert for Kings Guard Gaming tallied 21 points on 70 percent shooting in a 60-50 win over Pistons GT.
