NBA 2K League Playoffs Delivered by DoorDash Preview

THE WAIT IS OVER: After 12 weeks of regular-season matches and three in-season tournaments, the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs delivered by DoorDash will take place tonight and Friday, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. ET and Saturday, Aug. 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET, and culminate with the 2020 NBA 2K League Finals delivered by DoorDash on Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. ESPN2 will also air Playoffs games live Friday, Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. ET, Saturday, Aug. 22 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. ET and Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. All games will air live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch channel. Select games will air live on ESPN’s digital platforms and the NBA 2K League’s YouTube channel, and on delay on eGG Network in Southeast Asia. The 2020 Playoffs will feature 10 teams competing for a total prize pool of $920,000. The 2020 NBA 2K League champions will received $420,000 from that pool and earn the right to take home the prestigious NBA 2K League Championship trophy.
READY FOR THE BIG STAGE: Throughout the season, four rookies played critical roles in leading their respective teams to the 2020 Playoffs. Bucks Gaming point guard and 2020 NBA 2K League MVP finalist Reginald “Regg” Nash, Jr. averaged 32.6 points and 9.1 assists this season. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA 2K League Draft delivered by Panera Bread, Wizards Distrct Gaming point guard John “JBM” Mascone contributed 26.3 points per game and 6.9 assists per game in his rookie campaign. NetsGC point guard Joshua “Choc” Humphries added 29.5 points per game and 9.8 assists, leading the franchise to its first-ever playoff berth. In Utah, point guard Kimmani “Splashy” Ingram recorded 27.1 points per game and 6.2 assists per game for Jazz Gaming.
HISTORIC SEASON: After becoming the first-ever NBA 2K League team to have an undefeated regular season, Raptors Uprising GC will look to continue its historic season by competing for the ultimate prize – the 2020 NBA 2K League championship. The team is led by Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey (32.3 PPG, 8.3 APG), an electric point guard who is one of five MVP finalists this season.
CONSISTENT CONTENDER: On Saturday, August 15, basketball fever in Portland extended to the virtual hardwood when Blazer5 Gaming won THE TICKET powered by AT&T and was awarded the 10th and final spot in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs delivered by DoorDash. With the victory, Blazer5 Gaming becomes the only NBA 2K League franchise in the league’s three-year history to qualify for the playoffs each season. The team is propelled by 2019 MVP Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser (33.1 PPG, 8.1 APG) and 2018 MVP Dayne “OneWildWalnut” Downey (13.6 PPG, 14.8 RPG).
HERE COME THE TROPHIES: Throughout the 2020 Playoffs, the NBA 2K League will present 10 major awards that honor top performers from the 2020 season. The following awards will be announced on Saturday, August 22:
