As part of the NBA 2K League’s offseason draft-eligible event series, for the first time, the “NBA 2K League 3v3 Draft-Eligible Tournament” will take place Wednesday, Dec 1 – Thursday, Dec. 2.  The winning team will earn both draft eligibility and a prize pool of $5,000.

Team rosters will be organized by the league and will be comprised of three players, including players from the NBA 2K League’s Women in Gaming initiative.

The structure for the tournament is below:

Wednesday, Dec. 1

• Sixteen‑team bracket
• Best-of-three series
• Top four teams advance to final day

Thursday, Dec. 2

• Semifinals and Finals played in best-of-three series

All games will be played on Sony PlayStation 5 and draft hopefuls must sign up as individuals. Additional details including signup information can be found at the following link.

Players who are 18 years of age or older and did not compete in the 2021 season, may sign up to participate in the event.

In all cases, draft eligibility is contingent on passing a background check and satisfying all NBA 2K League eligibility requirements, including the NBA 2K League’s COVID-19 health and safety requirements for draft eligibility.  These health and safety requirements include a requirement that players be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as defined by the NBA 2K League) before the Draft and a requirement that players receive an initial COVID-19 vaccine dose on or before a date specified by the NBA 2K League.  The NBA 2K League will discuss accommodations to being vaccinated if an individual cannot be vaccinated due to a medical reason or sincerely held religious belief, practice, or observance.
