Official Release From Jazz Gaming
Jazz Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today that the team has acquired guard Lytel “Lotty” Martin and a 2022 fourth-round pick from Bucks Gaming in exchange for guard Alex “Expose” Whelan and a 2022 second-round selection.
Martin, a starter in all 15 games for the Bucks this season averaging 9.6 points, 1.7 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game, is back in Salt Lake City having played for Jazz Gaming during part of the 2019 campaign and the complete 2020 season.
With the addition of Martin, Jazz Gaming has now reunited its starting five from last season when the team had a franchise record 14-2 record and a final four finish in the NBA 2K Playoffs. Martin was originally selected by HEAT Check Gaming in the first round (20th overall) in the 2019 NBA 2K League Draft before being traded to Utah midway through the season.
“We welcome back Lotty to Jazz Gaming,” said head coach Jelani “Comp” Mitchell. “He has tremendous familiarity with our players and program and will fit seamlessly into our lineup. Lotty brings a strong all-around game and will strengthen our backcourt play. We look forward to making a push up the standings in the second half of the regular season.”
