Introducing The NBA 2K League Combine

We’re excited to introduce the NBA 2K League Combine – the second phase of qualifying for the NBA 2K League. It will run from February 2 – February 21, 2018. All players who won 50 games during January’s NBA 2K League Qualifier will move on to the combine.

ELIGIBILITY

Participants must fit the following age requirement to participate in the combine:

The player (i) is or will be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of February 1st, 2018, and (ii) has graduated from high school (or, if the player did not graduate from high school, the class with which the player would have graduated had he graduated from high school has graduated).

ENTRY

Players who complete January’s NBA 2K League Qualifier will automatically see a new menu item, NBA 2K League Combine, in NBA 2K18 during February.

ONLINE APPLICATION

The Online Application will be made available during February. This means you only need your 50 wins to advance to the NBA 2K League Combine in February.

PLAYER POOL

The NBA 2K League has expanded the player pool from 85 to 102 to allow for roster flexibility. The combine will now identify the top 102 players and each of the 17 teams participating in the inaugural season will draft six players.

ANALYSIS

During the combine, the NBA 2K League will measure high-level statistics such as points, rebounds and assists, as well as more in-depth statistics such as shot release time, pass to assist and block efficiency.

Following the combine, all player information will be evaluated and used to determine the top 102 players available for the draft.

WHAT’S NEXT?

The league will continue its analysis of game play and qualitative data in the weeks following the combine. Players in consideration for the draft pool will be contacted to complete additional steps.
