Everything You Need to Know About the NBA 2K League’s Tryout Process for Season 5

The 2021 NBA 2KL Draft Prospect Series will kick off Monday, October 4. Here are the ways NBA 2K League hopefuls can earn eligibility for the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft:
NBA 2KL Draft Prospect Series – October 4 through December 5
- Every NBA 2K League team is eligible to host up to three NBA2K22 Pro-Am tournaments –
one on each next-generation console and one on either current-generation consoles. - All players on the winning team from each team–hosted tournament—on both
current–generation consoles and next–generation consoles—will be made eligible for the 2022
NBA 2K League Draft. - NBA 2K League teams will also be able to select one player not on the winning team of each
tournament they host to receive a “Prospect Badge” and become Draft-eligible. - Players who earn eligibility for the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft through NBA 2K League Draft
Prospect Series tournaments are not eligible to compete in subsequent tournaments during the
Series.
Sony PlayStation Draft-Eligible Tournaments – October 4 through December 4
- As part of the league’s first-of-its kind partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment,
“Scouting Grounds” will feature seven tournaments exclusively for hopefuls in North America
and Europe:- PlayStation 4 tournaments (Click here)
- North America: October 16, November 20
- Europe: November 6
- PlayStation 4 tournaments (Click here)
- PlayStation 5 tournaments (Click here)

- North America: October 4, November 13, December 4
- Europe: October 25

- All players on the winning team of each tournament will be made eligible for the 2022 Draft.
- All tournaments will be 1v1.
2022 NBA 2K League Draft Combine – December 13 through 18
- All draft-eligible players will compete in high-intensity gameplay in front of NBA 2K League
general managers and coaches. - All hopefuls must compete in the Combine to retain draft-eligibility.
NBA 2K League: Drop In – November 29 through December 3
- Hopefuls will also have the opportunity to have their gameplay featured on “BFW Live” on the
NBA 2K League’s Twitch channel. - Players may also be awarded spots in the 2022 NBA 2K League Draft pool.
- Players who want to be featured and considered for the Draft should submit their best
NBA2K22 highlights to the NBA 2K League by replying to designated social media posts on
Twitter (NBA2KLeague).
Additional Information
- The NBA 2K League will award additional Draft eligibility to a select number of players,
including international players, participants in the Women in Gaming Initiative, and high-
performing players in the 2K community, as determined by league and team officials. The
Women in Gaming Initiative and all international qualifying events will be played exclusively on
PlayStation. Additional details will be announced in the coming days. - All players (including players identified through the NBA 2K League Draft Prospect Series)
must be 18 years or older and have graduated from high school by October 1, 2021 (or, if the
player did not graduate from high school, the class with which the player would have graduated from high school must have graduated by October 1, 2021) in order to participate inthe Season 5 tryout process and must satisfy the NBA 2K League’s requirements to be eligible for the NBA 2K League Draft. - Hopefuls should follow the NBA 2K League on Facebook (NBA 2K League), Instagram (nba2kleague), TikTok (nba2kleague), Twitch (NBA2KLeague) and Twitter (NBA2KLeague)
