COINBASE NBA2KL 3v3 STEAL OPEN – FACT SHEET

 

• The NBA2KL 3v3 STEAL OPEN is the last of three 3v3 tournaments in 2022 as part of the Coinbase NBA2KL 3v3 BLACKTOP SERIES and runs Aug. 10-11 each night at 7 p.m. ET in Indianapolis at the Pavilion at Pan Am. For more information on how to attend games in-person, click here.

 

• New this year, as an avenue for the 2.2 million players who play NBA 2K every day to compete in NBA 2K League competition, amateur teams from around the world have had the opportunity to participate alongside NBA 2K League teams for a share of the 3v3 tournament prize pool.

 

• The STEAL OPEN will be comprised of the 14 NBA 2K League teams that didn’t already qualify for the NBA2KL 3v3 Championships, and one amateur international team from the European region that earned a spot through separate their international qualifying event. • The winning teams from the Eastern and Western conference brackets in the STEAL OPEN will earn the 11^th and 12^th spots in the NBA2KL 3v3 Championships.

 

• The STEAL OPEN Finals match between the two NBA2KL Championships bound teams will determine the winner of the STEAL OPEN and $20,000 total prize pool in Bitcoin courtesy of Coinbase.

 

• All series will be played in a best-of-five, single elimination format.

 

• Tiebreaker scenarios for the STEAL OPEN:
  • Best series record
  • Win % on a per‑game basis (i.e., counting a 3-2 series win as 3 wins and 2 losses)
  • Head-to-head record on a per‑game basis
  • Average points scored
  • Random Draw
