An open tournament will be held by NBA2K League via Rival on retail NBA2K24 to identify the top amateur 3v3 team to be invited to the Steal Competition.

• One online in-season Qualifier tournament will be powered by Rival
• One additional last chance qualifier for the community that will allow 1 additional Amateur team to compete in the Steal LCQ against 15 pro teams who do not make playoffs (16 amateur teams who qualified are not able to participate)
• The tournament will be 2 days. Day 1 down to Top 16, Day 2 is the rest; Saturday and Sunday cadence

2KL 3v3 Split Competition Format Details

Steal Open Qualifier:

• Double Elimination, best of 3, best of 5 semis & finals (with reset), 3v3 Pro-Am
• Lineup restrictions 
  • 1 Guard, 1 Lock, 1 Big 
    • – Guard (PG/SG ONLY) MUST be 6’5” or below
    • – Lockdown (SG/SF ONLY) MUST be 6’7” or below
    • – Big (PF/C ONLY) MUST be 6’8” or above
  • Restrictions
    • NO three guard lineups
    • NO two lockdown lineups
    • NO two or three center lineups 

• Steal: 
  • Unqualified playoff teams go through a single elimination tournament (Bo5) to earn final two spots in 3v3 Playoffs   
  • Playoffs + Finals: 
    • 14 team double elimination bracket held live in-person
    • 10 NBA2KL teams overall + 2 top community teams overall + 2 Steal teams

Rosters, Substitutes and Roster Changes

• No substitutions allowed throughout Rival Qualifier and NBA2KL Competition

Prizing

Open qualifier: top winning team from each event 

• Top team receives $3000 USD
• Invitation to Steal tournament  and 2K24 League Build
