Delano is active in community tournaments, most recently earning a final four appearance in the 2K18 MPBA. Delano clearly understands the mechanics of NBA 2K intimately. As he says: “What distinguishes the very best? The right analog stick.” But in 2K, what distinguishes Delano is his points. Across 120 games played in the Combine, Delano averaged a strong 25.8 points per match. This feat marks him as unquestionably the most consistently high scoring Shooting Guard in the draft.
Delano cares about NBA 2K deeply, and it shows — quite literally. Delano was one of the few candidates to attend his virtual interview in sharp, professional dress. Delano plays NBA 2K like it’s his job; and it is. He’s earned partner status on Twitch by streaming 2K. Delano comes across as smooth and proud. “If I had to describe myself with one word: phenomenal.”
Delano’s primary method of improving at NBA 2K is simply playing. “I grind hard. 12 hours. Every single day. That’s how I got partnered on Twitch. Grinding, grinding, grinding, Like it’s my job.” Delano also exhibits another attribute that indicates high performance potential: he never counts himself out of the game. “It’s never over till the ‘clock stops. It’s not done.” Delano hopes to bring this attitude to every day of practice in the League.
