PLONDO LEADS THE BUCKS: In a 67-41 victory over Magic Gaming on Friday, June 7, rookie Tyler “Plondo” Lay  moved to the power forward position and recorded 36 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Named Intel Player of the Week for Week 8, Plondo was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2019 Draft and is averaging 13.7 points and 11.3 rebounds this season. With the win, Bucks Gaming improved to 6-5 in the season.

BEAR IS BACK: On Thursday, June 6, T-Wolves Gaming rookie point guard Michael “BearDaBeast” Key registered 30 points and nine assists in an impressive 84-41 victory over Hawks Talon GC. On Friday, June 7, Minnesota defeated Jazz Gaming 69-60 led by BearDaBeast’s double-double (23 points and 11 assists). T-Wolves Gaming is now 5-6 on the 2019 season.

PHILADELPHIA ONE-TWO PUNCH: With two victories in Week 8, 76ers GC improved to 7-4 on the season. On Wednesday, June 5, the team defeated NetsGC 50-37 behind 22 points and four assists from Ethan “Radiant” White. The next day, Philadelphia earned a 95-54 victory over Pistons GT. Radiant tallied 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while Rashann “ZDS” Petty set the season’s single-game scoring record with 42 points and dished out four assists in the contest.

HEADED TO THE SUNSHINE STATE: Later this week, the NBA 2K League will host THE TICKET powered by AT&T, the league’s third and final tournament of the season, from Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15 at The Fortress at Full Sail University in Orlando. THE TICKET is the only tournament that guarantees the winner an automatic playoff spot. All 21 NBA 2K League teams will also be competing for a prize pool of $180,000.
