Cameron Wilhorn | RotoWire

Lakers Gaming outscored NetsGC by nine points in the fourth quarter to win 77-73 in the Grand Finals of THE TICKET, Powered by AT&T.

After the two teams combined to make five consecutive shots from inside the arc to open the contest, each offense turned to three-point land to put up points. While the Lakers knocked down both of their attempts from beyond the arc, NetsGC hit on four of their seven attempts. Yet, the score remained 18-all after the first quarter. Second quarter play remained neck-and-neck despite nine points and two assists from ShiftyKaii in the period, as Streetz chipped in six points himself. Lakers Gaming entered halftime ahead 37-36 behind 15 points and four assists from ShiftyKaii and 14 points from Krazy. NetsGC received nine points and eight assists from Greens, eight points from Reizey and 11 points from Streetz in the half.

NetsGC locked down defensively in the third quarter, holding the Lakers to 5-of-13 shooting from the field and 13 points in the period. Despite turning the ball over twice, the Nets managed to take a significant lead, with Reizey tallying nine of the team’s 18 third-quarter points to take a 55-50 advantage into the fourth. However, their lead was quickly erased by a 12-2 Lakers run in the first three minutes of the frame. While Nets GC rallied ahead and tied the game with a minute to play, back-to-back dunks by Krazy forced the Nets to play the foul game. With the game on the line, Lakers Gaming knocked down all their free throws, taking home the 77-73 win. Krazy paced the Lakers with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while ShiftyKaii generated 25 points and nine assists with seven three-pointers. For the Nets, Streetz logged 21 points, while Greens chipped in 13 points and 15 assists. Nets GC shot 11-for-25 from three-point land.
