Regg leads Bucks Gaming to second round of THE TICKET, powered by AT&T

Bucks Gaming swept Lakers Gaming 2-0 Thursday in their first round matchup of THE TICKET, powered by AT&T. Their best-of-three series was decided by impressive performances from Bucks Gaming point guard Regg.

The first quarter of Game 1 started with back-to-back-to-back runs as Lakers Gaming led off with a 5-0 run followed by a 6-0 run from Bucks Gaming, then another 5-0 run for Lakers Gaming. The rest of the first quarter went back and forth between the two teams, where Lakers Gaming point guard ReeseDaGod led all players with 13 points and four assists after the first quarter. Lakers Gaming finished the first up 24-21. A strong second quarter from Bucks Gaming shooting guard Expose allowed the contest to remain within a one-score game for most of the quarter. The half concluded with plenty of scoring as Bucks Gaming took a 47-42 lead into the break. ReeseDaGod finished the half with a game-high 22 points while Bucks Gaming center Komp went into halftime with 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The second half opened perfectly for Bucks Gaming as they pulled out to a 60-46 lead, behind eight third-quarter points from point guard Regg. Thanks to great quarters from Komp, Expose and Regg, Bucks Gaming managed to take a controlling 70-51 lead to conclude the third quarter. Komp, Expose and Regg combined for 59 points, 16 assists, 11 rebounds, two blocks and two steals by the end of the quarter. The fourth quarter was controlled by Bucks Gaming as they ended up winning with ease 91-74. Bucks Gaming’s most valuable players were Regg and Komp, while Lakers Gaming’s was ReeseDaGod.

Game 2 started slowly as both teams struggled to score. After a 2-2 start a couple minutes in, Bucks Gaming went on a 9-0 run to take an early 11-2 lead. After their hot start, Bucks Gaming didn’t look back for the rest of the half as they went on a dominant 35-17 run. Bucks Gaming’s impressive second quarter allowed them to take a near 30-point lead by halftime as they led 46-19. Regg and Komp carried Bucks Gaming through the first half. Both players recorded double-digit points while Lakers Gaming saw a strong half from center Tactuk.

The second half continued to be a blowout from the start. The third quarter finished with Lakers Gaming trailing 57-39. Regg finished the third quarter with 29 points and eight assists, while Tactuk logged 12 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Bucks Gaming held onto their roughly 20-point lead for the remainder of the fourth quarter and ended up winning Game 2 dominantly 75-52. Bucks Gaming saw a great performance from Regg, who concluded Game 2 with a 34-point 11-assist double-double effort.

Bucks Gaming’s win in Round 1 of THE TICKET, powered by AT&T, will set them up against Blazer5 Gaming Thursday night in a best-of-three series.
