Grizz Gaming start TURN with win over Raptors

Raptors Uprising GC would set the tone against Grizz Gaming from the opening tip as both FantaSZN (12 points, five assists) and Dimez (14 points, eight assists) hit big shots from deep early on. Grizz Gaming would answer back by ending the quarter on an 8-0 run, leading 20-16 at the end of the first.

The second quarter remained contested as Spartxn of Grizz Gaming provided a spark for the team over the course of the game. During the second quarter he showcased his scoring ability from all three levels on the court; hitting from the 3-point line, scoring at will in the paint and scoring in transition. Though led by Dimez and FantaSZN in the backcourt, Raptors Uprising GC would struggle throughout the quarter largely thanks to the impact provided by Spartxn. The center would continue to change the game over the course of three possessions, registering three blocks, one rebound and one assist. Finishing the first half with 12 points, six rebounds and four blocks (while securing an offensive rebound off a missed three at the end of the second quarter and dunking it to close out the half), the dominant center would set the tone for the rest of the game and force Raptors Uprising GC to call a timeout just before half.

Leading by 15 a minute into the third quarter, Spartxn would continue to dominate on the boards as Raptors Uprising GC continual faced contested shots thanks to a strong defensive effort from Grizz Gaming. Both teams would trade dunks and open looks from the 3-point line over the course of the quarter, but it was once again Grizz Gaming ending the quarter on top.

After a series of turnovers in the fourth quarter the lead would be cut down to seven with just over 50 seconds remaining. Grizz Gaming managed to push pass the full court press of Raptors Uprising GC and eventually found Spartxn for his final score of the game (19 points totals) and what amounted to the game-sealing basket.

Grizz Gaming will look to clean up their ball handling issues ahead of a matchup with Hornets Venom GC on Thursday night. Raptors Uprising GC, led by a 25-point effort from Big Saint, aim to get back on track Thursday night against Celtics Crossover Gaming.
