After an overnight delay, Hawks Talon GC and Cavs Legion GC resumed their series on Thursday. After lowering the hammer on the Cavs in Game 1, they finished the job after a delay and swept the series, 2-0.

The Hawks, who have struggled in recent weeks, looked brilliant in the first quarter of Game 1, as their press defense dominated the Cavs, holding them to only four points in the first quarter. Behind 10 points from MrStylez and 10 rebounds from Lee, the Hawks controlled the game with a 19-4 lead heading into the second quarter. The Cavs looked uncharacteristically flat-footed as the game continued, and the Hawks had no problem getting open. The Legion also caught the turnover bug relatively early in the matchup. The bleeding continued tor the Cavs as BP aptly directed the Talon’s offense to a huge 40-12 lead at halftime. BP also collected 12 assists in the half, and Lee contributed with an eye-popping 16 rebounds over the first 12 minutes. The wheels ultimately came off for the Legion in the second half. They only managed to score 21 points in the final 12 minutes, which was an improvement on the paltry 18 points they collected in the first half. Not only could they not sink a shot, but their 19 turnovers in the contest was the final hex in this blowout. BP went off for 32 points, and an insane 20 assists as the Hawks destroyed the Cavs in Game 1, 98-33.

The second game was not aired, and although the Cavs fared somewhat better, the turnover bug continued to plague them. They kept pace throughout much of the game but ultimately fell to the Hawks, 71-57.
