Raptors Uprising GC Earns Upset Sweep

Raptors Uprising GC came into this matchup ranked 11th in the Eastern Conference, while Warriors Gaming Squad sat at third place in the Western Conference. Raptors Uprising GC stole Game 1 on a late fourth-quarter comeback and used a huge third quarter in Game 2 to sweep Warriors Gaming Squad.

Raptors Uprising GC started the first quarter of Game 1 on an 8-0 run but clung to a 17-16 lead going into the second quarter. CB13 nailed two free throws to tie the game at 31 with 20 seconds left, but Raptors Uprising GC couldn’t get a quality look to end the half, and the teams were tied, 31-31, at halftime.

Type scored a game-high 14 first-half points, while Kenny Got Work added 11 points for Raptors Uprising GC. CB13 led Warriors Gaming Squad with 11 points and four assists, while Hezi notched six points, five rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals.

Warriors Gaming Squad finished the third quarter on a 9-0 run, claiming a 47-43 going into the fourth quarter. Raptors Uprising staged a late comeback and managed to hang onto a 73-70 win in the first game thanks to some clutch free-throw shooting.

CB13 finished with 20 points and 10 assists, while ANTOINE added 18 points, three assists and two rebounds. Hezi had an all-around performance in the loss, recording 13 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals.

Type led all scorers with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Dimez added 21 points, nine assists, three steals and two rebounds. Kenny Got Work finished with 17 points, six assists, one steal and one rebound for Raptors Uprising GC in the Game 1 win.

Warriors Gaming Squad responded from the Game 1 loss by jumping out to a 18-11 first-quarter lead in Game 2. Raptors Uprising GC found their offense in the second quarter and won the period 20-18 as Warriors Gaming Squad held a 36-31 halftime lead. Dimez led all scorers with 16 first-half points, while CB13 paced Warriors Gaming Squad with 15 points.

Raptors Uprising GC went on a 10-2 run to end the third quarter, and they claimed a 54-46 lead going into the fourth quarter. Warriors Gaming Squad couldn’t slow down Raptors Uprising GC as they cruised to a 81-71 victory in Game 2. Dimez finished with a game-high 34 points while TsJosh (17) and Kenny Got Work (12) each scored in double figures. Type finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in the Game 2 win. CB13 ended with 25 points, 10 assists and three steals, while Gradient added 20 points and two steals for Warriors Gaming Squad.

Warriors Gaming Squad (13-9) resumes action Week 9 against Kings Guard Gaming, while Raptors Uprising GC (9-17) doesn’t play again until Week 10, when they face Grizz Gaming.
