Heat Check Gaming didn’t have problems destroying Lakers Gaming over the course of their two-game series Thursday, and they won both contests by a wide margin. Game 1 of the series ended with an 83-64 victory, while Game 2 was even more expressive and finished with a 104-75 win.

Heat Check Gaming and Lakers Gaming got off to a tight start in Game 1, and the score backed that up since the first quarter ended with a slim two-point lead for Heat Check Gaming (18-16), an edge that would remain unchanged by the end of the first half following a 13-13 score in the second quarter (31-29). Heat Check Gaming began to pull away in the second half, though, and they made it a double-digit game following a 23-15 score in the third quarter, essentially ending the game as a tightly-contested affair before the start of the final five minutes. Heat Check Gaming didn’t step the foot off the gas, though, and they outscored their rivals 29-20 in the fourth quarter, cruising their way to a comfortable victory in Game 1 of the series.

SAV carried Heat Check Gaming to a Game 1 victory following a 34-point, 15-assist outburst, while Killeyy and Deedz produced matching 11-point tallies. Hotshot also made his presence felt, as he ended with 27 points and 17 rebounds. ReeseDaGod was the best player for Lakers Gaming and ended with 36 points, while Krazy chipped in with a double-double of 11 points and 19 rebounds. BOHIO might have ended with just four points, but he dished out 12 dimes as well.

Heat Check Gaming carried the momentum of Game 1 right into the second game of this two-game set, as they established control quite quickly following a 23-18 score in the first quarter. Heat Check Gaming continued to dominate the rest of the way, though, and that five-point differential kept growing as the game progressed — they outscored Lakers Gaming in every quarter, winning the remaining three frames 28-19, 26-15 and 27-23, respectively. It was a dominant win for Heat Check Gaming and they became just the third team to score at least 100 points in a game this season. Lakers Gaming shot 28-of-49 from the field, while Heat Check Gaming missed just 10 of their 52 attempts from the field. That was the biggest difference in the game.

Three Heat Check Gaming players scored at least 20 points in this game and SAV carried the team once again, finishing with 32 points and 19 assists, while Killeyy delivered 30 points after shooting 11-for-13 from the field. Hotshot also made his presence felt and contributed 23 points and 11 boards. As for Lakers Gaming, BOHIO was the team’s top scorer with 28 points, while ReeseDaGod finished with a 14-point, 11-assist double-double. As if that wasn’t enough, Krazy ended with 20 points and six boards.
