Hawks Talon GC (6-8) faced Celtics Crossover Gaming (3-12) in the final week of regular-season play Wednesday.

CLTX Gaming took a 32-22 lead into halftime of Game 1, as FT scored an impressive 17 points to open the game. NO xAUTOGRAPHSx nearly double-doubled with eight points and eight boards. Despite the first-half deficit, the second half was all Hawks Talon GC, as the team poured in 31 points in the third quarter to take the lead 53-45 heading into the final frame.

The fourth quarter was hotly contested as the teams traded buckets throughout, and Celtics Crossover Gaming got within one point twice inside of 20 seconds to play. FT got a look at a wide-open three as time expired, but he was unable to connect and send the contest into overtime. BP guided Hawks Talon GC to the win with 26 points and 11 dimes, Kel chipped in 17 and Lee went for 15 points and 12 boards. FT led all scorers with 30 points, though he did so on an inefficient 14-of-29 shooting from the field, including 2-of-12 from three.

Game 2 began with a tight first half, as Hawks Talon GC took a 37-34 lead behind 12 points and five boards from Lee. FT led all scorers through two quarters with 13. The teams stayed even in the third quarter, and Hawks Talon GC maintained a three-point lead, 50-47, through three quarters. Lee came through big on the glass with eight rebounds in the quarter, while Arkele scored six.

CLTX Gaming came back to take the lead in the fourth quarter and held on in another one that went down to the wire. Down two on the final possession of the game, Hawks Talon GC missed a short shot under the basket and fell 63-61, despite big double-doubles from BP and Lee. FT paced CLTX Gaming in points with 29, while NO xAUTOGRAPHSx posted a monster 22-point, 18-rebound double-double.

Celtics Crossover Gaming opened Game 3 on a 15-0 run, and Hawks Talon GC didn’t score its first bucket until just under two minutes remaining in the quarter. CLTX Gaming ended the first half up 34-20, with FT comfortably leading all scorers with 22 points.  

Hawks Talon GC made some noise in the second half, but CLTX Gaming was able to put the game away 77-67 and take the series win. FT erupted for 50 points, accomplishing the feat on just 27 shots. BP scored 35 in the losing effort for Hawks Talon GC.

Hawks Talon GC falls to 6-9 and will close out the season Friday against Heat Check Gaming after being eliminated from playoff contention. Celtics Crossover Gaming finishes the season 4-12.
