Knicks Gaming Handles Pacers Gaming

July 29, 2020

RotoWire – Juan Pablo Aravena

Knicks Gaming came from behind in Game 1 and were on the verge of losing Game 2, but they ended up sealing both games to earn a 2-0 series victory over Pacers Gaming on Wednesday.
The Pacers got off to a strong start in Game 1, jumping out to a 20-13 lead, but that would be the only sort of lead they would have in the entire contest. The Knicks took control in the second quarter and never let it go, although they had to wait until the third quarter — a period they won by a 22-12 score — to grab the lead. The Knicks closed things out effectively in the fourth en route to a comfortable 76-59 Game 1 victory.

Every single Knicks player scored in double digits in Game 1, led by Duck who chipped in with 23 points and nine assists. OriginalMalik had 18 points, BigRiM notched 14 points, and CantGuardRob filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. BOHIO was the leading scorer for the Pacers with 20 points and nine assists, while Swizurk posted 19 points and NateKahl added 10. Jomar, who played as a power forward, finished with eight points, 10 boards, and four dimes.

The Knicks carried the momentum of Game 1 into Game 2, and they quickly established a 22-10 lead in the first quarter. The Pacers would dominate the rest of the game, though, but it wasn’t enough to mount a comeback. An 18-12 second quarter and a 20-19 third quarter shortened the gap to five points, but the Pacers failed down the stretch.

The Pacers would win the fourth quarter by a 19-18 score, but it wasn’t enough. Despite looking outmatched during most of Game 2, the Knicks held on to their initial advantage to get the win and the series victory.

Duck finished with 39 points and seven assists for the Knicks, but he also committed six turnovers. CantGuardRob chipped in with a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double, while OriginalMalik added 11 points from the small forward role. BOHIO and Swizurk each had 18 points for the Pacers, but their efforts weren’t enough. Neither was NateKahl’s, as he ended with a team-high 20 points while shooting 8-for-9 from the field.
