Wizards District Gaming and Nets GC engaged in three tight contests, and the Wizards had to come from behind after losing the opener. They completed the comeback and earned a 2-1 win in this 2K League regular season matchup Tuesday.

Wizards DG got off to a better start in Game 1, though, and they jumped off to a 17-15 lead following the first quarter. They pushed that edge to five points following a 16-13 second quarter, and they wouldn’t relinquish that lead the rest of the way. Even though NetsGC attempted to make a comeback in the second half, they fell short in their attempt. The Wizards held on despite losing the third and fourth quarters, and they escaped with a 68-66 Game 1 victory.

Choc paced the Nets in Game 1 with a 31-point, five-assist performance, while Shuttles posted a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double. ReeseDaGod led the Wizards with 21 points, while Dayfri contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds. Star point guard JBM notched 19 points with seven dimes.

NetsGC carried that momentum into Game 2 and kicked things off with a 20-18 lead after the first quarter. The Wizards evened up the score at the half-time break (42-42), but the Nets restored that led with a 13-9 third quarter. The Nets were up by four points into the final quarter, but the Wizards completed a big fourth-quarter comeback with a 24-17 score. As such, the Wizards forced a Game 3 with a 75-72 victory.

JBM led the way for the Nets in this comeback effort with 33 points and seven assists. Just_Awkward posted 13 points and four steals, while ReeseDaGod notched 19 points. The Nets might have lost this game, but Choc’s performance was one of the best of the season — he finished with 50 points and eight assists. No other NetsGC player scored in double digits, but Shuttles had eight points with 10 rebounds.
The decisive Game 3 saw the Wizards move in front with a 16-10 first quarter. The Nets didn’t give up, though, and they won the two subsequent quarters — 18-16 and 19-17. The Wizards were up by two points heading into the final quarter, but the Wizards were clutch down the stretch. They won the final quarter by 10 points and escaped with a series victory (2-1) thanks to a 74-62 Game 3 win.

JBM was the star player for the Wizards once again, as he ended with 33 points and six assists, while Dayfri registered 14 points with 15 boards and five assists. Just_Awkward had 10 points. As for the Nets, Choc and Shuttles led the way. The point guard registered 31 points with nine assists, while Shuttles posted 16 points with nine rebounds.
