It took a bevy of restarts, but by the conclusion of Wednesday’s final match of the day, Warriors Gaming Squad would become the fourth team in the NBA 2K League with double digit wins on the season, first surviving a frantic Game 1 bout with Bucks Gaming before putting a stomp on their opposition for the series sweep.

Credit goes first off to Bucks Gaming for standing toe-to-toe with the NBA 2K League’s elite, as the virtual deer are in a feverish competition for one of the potential remaining playoffs spots with only a handful of weeks to play. A 33-23 abbreviated first-half advantage for Bucks Gaming essentially set the tone for the rest of the game, as the frenetic pace ultimately came to a head in the third quarter when both teams would waffle between outright expanding their lead before ultimately yielding a scoring run from the opposition. As has been the case for much of the season, Regg was the catalyst for Bucks Gaming, posting over 20 points in the second half as he continued to duel with the rest of Warriors Gaming Squad. Unfortunately for the Bucks Gaming point guard, WGS’ balanced scoring attack, which featured four scorers in double digits, would prove to be too difficult to overcome. BSmoove’s near perfection from the 3-point arc (6-of-7) was the critical piece behind the come-from-behind cog for Warriors Gaming Squad, although a 19-point, 15-rebound double-double from center Slaughter essentially negated Plondo, the Bucks Gaming center, who struggled to act as second fiddle (6-of-11 from FG) to Regg.

Whatever momentum Bucks Gaming had in Game 1 was lost essentially from tip-off in Game 2. Another restart could be somewhat blamed for the lopsided scoreline, but allowing Warriors Gaming Squad to shoot nearly 80 percent from deep was the true main catalyst in the final game of the series. Regg posted his usual dominant stat line for Bucks Gaming, accumulating 28 of the team’s 53 points, but it took over 45 percent of the team’s overall shots from the field to reach that mark. Meanwhile, the collective effort from Warriors Gaming Squad once again reigned supreme, with the likes of CB13 and BSmoove missing just two of their 16 3-point attempts to the tune of a combined 52 points. Gradient also contributed to the team’s dominant backcourt, registering 17 points after only scoring 11 in Game 1.

Bucks Gaming will have another difficult test against Kings Guard Gaming on Thursday, while Warriors Gaming Squad will rest up for their two separate series starting Week 11.
