Hornets Venom GT dominated as soon as Game 1 started and wouldn’t let go of their advantage at any point, which essentially foreshadowed all of the opening contest. The Venom quickly jumped to a 20-13 lead in the first quarter and pushed it even further before halftime, going up by 13 points following a 15-9 second quarter. Expose had 14 points in the first half for Hornets Venom, while Reizey had 10 for the Magic.

Magic Gaming showed a different attitude in the third quarter and shortened the gap to just seven points following a 21-15 third quarter, and it seemed as if they were ready to complete the comeback in the fourth. Hornets Venom woke up right when they needed it the most, however, and closed things out with a 20-11 score in the final six minutes of action. As a result, Hornets Venom won Game 1 by a 70-54 score.

Snubby and Expose paced the Hornets in Game 1, as both players ended with 26 points. Gliz notched 16 points, and Zae chipped in with 16 boards as well as eight points. Reizey paced Magic Gaming with 29 points, while Djbama added 10 points.

Magic Gaming turned things around in Game 2, though. They came out with a different attitude, likely feeling their backs against the wall. The score reflected that as well. Their defensive awareness was off the charts, and limited Hornets Gaming to just 24 points in the first half as a whole. The Magic built a commanding 10-point lead (34-24) after the first two quarters. Reizey had 13 points and May grabbed 14 boards in the first half for the Magic.

Hornets Venom did a good cleaning up their mistakes in the second half, though. A stronger defensive effort resulted in several turnovers for Magic Gaming, and Hornets Venom took full advantage of that — the third quarter ended with a three-point lead for the Venom thanks to a buzzer-beater from the corner. Magic Gaming scored just five points in the third.

Hornets Venom didn’t step the foot off the gas in the fourth, double- and triple-teaming Reizey when needed. The Hornets hit some clutch shots, tightened things up defensively and completed the comeback in the fourth with a 54-51 win. That’s one win they won’t forget easily, while Magic Gaming must be thinking just how they let Game 2 get away from their hands.

Snubby scored 19 points por Hornets Venom in Game 2, while Gliz added 11 points and Expose chipped in with 10. Zae also scored 10 points but also grabbed 11 boards and blocked three shots. Reizey had 21 points for Magic Gaming, while DT and May each contributed 10 points. May also added 18 rebounds and four assists.
