Kings Guard Gaming Earns Seventh Win with T-Wolves Gaming Sweep
June 25, 2020
T-Wolves Gaming and Kings Guard animated a thrilling contest in Game 1, as both teams went back and forth right as the game started. It was hard to see either side looking with an advantage early on, and the scoreline backed that up — the two franchises traded leads several times in the first two quarters and the first-half score was a low-scoring 32-28 score. Kings Guard grabbed the lead after a 5-0 scoring run late in the second quarter that included a few lucky bounces going their way.
Kings Guard Gaming kept the momentum going and went up by five points early in the second half, but T-Wolves Gaming made their best effort to keep things close after that, mostly due to their efforts made by FEAST, who was absolutely unstoppable in the paint. Kings Guard entered the final six minutes of action holding a five-point lead, and they would end up holding that slim lead in the dying moments of the game. J-Money tried to carry the T-Wolves out of their misery and the T-Wolves were as close as one point with 58.1 seconds left, but Kings Guard held on and secured a tight 62-59 win in Game 1.
Bash chipped in with 19 points and four assists for Kings Guard, while Seemo added 15 points and Dat Boy Shotz contributed a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards. JMoney had 18 points for T-Wolves Gaming, while FEAST ended with 20 points and 14 boards. BearDaBeast (11 points) and Big Saint (10 points) also provided decent value offensively.
Game 2 was a low-scoring affair at the start, but Kings Guard established dominance after giving up just four points in the first six minutes of action. The T-Wolves reacted quickly, however, and turned things around to build a slim three-point advantage (26-23) at the break. As slim as the lead was, however, it was remarkable due to their lackluster effort in the first quarter. Kings Guard, however, recovered the advantage in the second half.
The Kings dominated the third quarter (22-11) and jumped to an eight-point advantage heading into the final six minutes of action. That gap got reduced in the final quarter and the T-Wolves were as close as four points with 24.2 seconds left. Kings Guard held on, however, and secured a Game 2 win by a 65-60 score.
Bash paced Kings Gaming with 26 points, while Seemo finished with 16 points and Dat Boy Shotz contributed another double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds). JMoney finished with 24 points and nine dimes for T-Wolves Gaming, while BearDaBeast had 20 points for the losing cause. FEAST only had eight points, but he grabbed 16 boards.
