After suffering a close loss Thursday, Kings Guard Gaming had no trouble securing a sweep Friday against NetsGC.
Sacramento was firing on all cylinders during Game 1. The Kings jumped out to a 46-17 lead at the end of the first half and managed to extend it even farther during the third quarter, as they entered the final frame with a 78-33 advantage. The fourth quarter was a scoring fest, and Kings Guard Gaming came within two points of tying the single-game scoring record that was set earlier in the night as they picked up a comfortable 107-63 win.
Bash unsurprisingly led Kings Guard Gaming’s scoring efforts in the first game as he finished with 35 points, 12 assists and five steals. Seemo went 7-for-9 from beyond the arc, recording 33 points and nine assists, while Dat Boy Shotz picked up a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. For NetsGC, Choc only converted on 38.1 percent of his field-goal attempts, with 16 points and nine assists in addition to 11 turnovers. Wavy managed to pick up 24 points and five turnovers, and Shuttles had 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Although Game 2 featured far less scoring, it was once again controlled by Kings Guard Gaming for the majority of the contest. Sacramento held a 38-20 lead at halftime and never looked back, finishing the series with an 84-54 victory.
Kings Guard Gaming was led by Dat Boy Shotz in the second contest, as he went 10-for-13 from the center position to pick up 25 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Bash (21 points, three assists) and Seemo (21 points, two steals) were each effective once again. Shuttles secured another double-double for Brooklyn with 10 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, while Choc led the team in scoring with 21 points.
NetsGC will be in Group 1 for next week’s tournament, and Kings Guard Gaming will play in Group 4.
