Looking to get back in the win column, the flailing Pistons GT faced Bucks Gaming on Friday. Pistons GT came out strong in Game 1, leading 46-39 at halftime and taking a five-point lead into the final frame. The fourth quarter has been a spot of weakness for this squad all season, and Friday’s matchup was no different. Pistons GT gave up 26 points in the fourth quarter and only managed to score 11, resulting in a come-from-behind win for Bucks Gaming. Demon JT paced Pistons GT in scoring with 31 to go with six assists, Joseph knocked in 19 and Ramo came up with nine points, eight boards, six assists, three blocks and three steals. For Bucks Gaming, Regg provided a game-high 37 points to go with nine assists, as he just missed a double-double. Arooks scored 21, while Plondo went for seven points and 17 boards.

Game 2 featured an exciting first half, highlighted by plenty of three-point shooting and fast breaks, and the teams went into the half neck-in-neck, with Bucks Gaming up 31-20. Regg’s big 17-point half accounted for the narrow lead, as the other members of Bucks Gaming were only able to contribute 14 combined points. For Pistons GT, Demon JT closed out the second period with 10 points. The score stayed within two possessions for most of the third quarter, but a late Bucks run pushed the lead to 52-39 with one quarter to play. Pistons GT wouldn’t go away, however, and a defense-fueled 9-2 run to start the fourth quarter cut the lead to 54-48. Up 64-59 with time winding down, Regg nailed a dagger three with just over 30 seconds remaining, and Bucks Gaming took a 67-61 win to clinch the series in a sweep. For Pistons GT, Demon JT went for 24 and Ramo managed 22 points, nine boards and six assists.

The story of the night was Regg, who has averaged 32 points and eight assists this season to make a strong case for Rookie of the Year honors. In the series-clinching matchup, he went for 40 points and seven assists. Arooks chipped in 12, while Plondo double-doubled with 12 points and 11 boards. With the win, Bucks Gaming improves to 4-4 and Pistons GT loses its fifth straight to fall to 1-7.
