Despite a blowout by Kings Guard Gaming in Game 2 of their series Thursday, Magic Gaming picked up a pair of close victories to claim their first series victory since May 6.

Game 1 was a defensive battle. The teams were nearly even over the first half, with Sacramento holding a two-point lead at halftime. They managed to extend their lead to four points by the end of the third quarter, but Magic Gaming came together during the final frame to pick up a 49-45 win.

Reizey was the leading scorer for Magic Gaming in the first game with 23 points along with five assists, with May also stepping up with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Bash struggled to jump start Kings Guard Gaming’s offense, as he went 5-for-13 from the floor with 13 points and three assists. Seemo managed to keep the team in the game with 17 points and two assists, but his efforts weren’t enough to put the team over the top.

Kings Guard Gaming managed to completely change the narrative during Game 2. The Kings led 18-14 at the end of the first quarter, but they extended their lead to 37-23 at the half. Magic Gaming struggled across the board during the second half, and Kings Guard Gaming rolled to a 94-44 win.

Bash managed to turn things around for Kings Guard Gaming in Game 2, recording 40 points and 12 assists. As a team, Sacramento converted on 75.5 percent of their field goal attempts, with Yusuf_Scarbz (22 points) and Dat Boy Shotz (12 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists) each putting up notable performances. Although Djbama led Orlando in scoring with 16 points, he struggled mightily, converting on just 38.5 percent of his attempts from the floor while also committing 15 turnovers.

Sacramento carried their momentum into the first quarter of Game 3, as they led 18-10 after the first frame. However, defense reigned supreme over much of the contest. The Magic trimmed the deficit to three points at the end of the half and kept chipping away over the second half to pick up a narrow 53-51 win.

Djbama had a slightly more effective performance for Magic Gaming, picking up 19 points and three assists. Reizey finished with 14 points and two assists, while May also delivered with seven points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. Bash quieted down for Sacramento, as he only had 22 points and four assists. While Dat Boy Shotz picked up 10 rebounds, his low shot volume led to only four points along with four assists as the team failed to get enough opportunities to finish the series on a high note.

Kings Guard Gaming will look to turn things around against NetsGC on Friday, while Magic Gaming’s next contest has yet to be announced.
