Pacers Gaming and Pistons Gaming sat outside the top 10 teams coming into Friday’s game, and both teams hoped to take a big step forward going into Week 5. The contest was also a bit of a reunion game for Ramo, who left the Pistons in Season 1 to carry the Pacers into the playoffs. Detroit sent off a first and second-round pick to get him back for 2020. In the end, Ramo was bottled up by his former team and the Pacers prevailed with a 2-0 series sweep.

Game 1 proved to be an easy 79-58 win for the Pacers, with Detroit committing 12 costly turnovers. The Pacers overcame Detroit’s much-hyped defense and only coughed up the ball four times. While BOHIO had a frigid night of shooting for Indiana, he managed a double-double by dropping 11 dimes to go along with 19 points. Swizurk was the linchpin of the Pacers offensive attack in Game 1 with 29 points, and Jomar pitched in a 10-point, 16-rebound double-double at the five. Joseph’s 16-point, 19-rebound double-double was the highlight for Detroit, but Ramo was effectively squelched by his former team, netting only 10 points while coughing up the ball seven times.

Game 2 was a much closer affair, but the Pistons were unable to close the gap in the second half. The Pacers completed the two-game sweep with a 64-52 win. The contest proved to be a huge game for BOHIO, who poured in 31 points to go along with five assists. Turnovers plagued the Pistons again, coughing up the ball 11 times. Ramo was stifled yet again in Game 2, scoring only 11 points. Joseph was the only bright spot for the Pistons with a 17-point, 14-rebound double-double.

Pacers Gaming (3-3) gets a week off before facing Bucks Gaming in Week 6, while Pistons Gaming (1-3) will tangle with Cavs Legion GC next Wednesday.
