Kings Guard Gaming flexed their defensive muscles in Game 1 of their series against Jazz Gaming on Thursday and managed to pull off a comeback in Game 2 to record their second consecutive sweep.

Kings Guard Gaming put on a defensive clinic in Game 1, only allowing the Jazz to convert 13 of their 44 field goal attempts. Sacramento led 41-7 at halftime and cruised to a comfortable 77-30 victory.

Bash outscored the entire Utah squad in Game 1 with 33 points, seven assists and three steals. Dat Boy Shotz nearly picked up a triple-double, as he had 12 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Despite working as the team’s power forward, Yusuf_Scarbz managed to pick up six blocks along with his 11 points and nine rebounds. Ria accounted for nearly half of Jazz Gaming’s points, logging 13 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks as the team’s center.

Jazz Gaming kept Game 2 much closer and even controlled the game for much of the first three quarters. Utah entered halftime leading 31-23, but they let the lead slip away over the second half. Lord Beezus stepped out of bounds with 25.8 seconds remaining, and Dat Boy Shotz responded with a go-ahead dunk with 3.9 seconds remaining. Jazz Gaming used their final timeout to give themselves a fighting chance, but their game-tying attempt rattled out as time expired, giving Kings Guard Gaming the sweep.

Bash had a less flashy game for Kings Guard in Game 2, recording 19 points and four assists. Dat Boy Shotz went 6-for-6 from the floor and logged a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Seemo also had a solid game with 16 points. Ria was the star for Jazz Gaming once again as he had 23 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. He got help from Lord Beezus (15 points, six rebounds) and Yeah I Compete (10 points, two steals), but the team fell just short of forcing a third game in the best-of-three series.

Jazz Gaming will have a quick turnaround with a matchup against Blazer5 Gaming on Friday, while Kings Guard Gaming’s next game will come when they face the Portland club Wednesday.
