The Gen.G Tigers defeated Bucks Gaming 2-1 in their three-game series on Thursday evening.

Bucks Gaming mounted a huge comeback to earn the win during Game 1 of the series. The Gen.G Tigers jumped to a 23-18 lead following the first quarter, and that five-point differential would remain until the beginning of the fourth quarter. For what it’s worth, Bucks Gaming won the second quarter by a 22-19 score, but the Tigers restored the gap with a 22-19 score of their own after three. It seemed Gen.G were poised to earn the win after entering the final frame up 64-59, but Bucks Gaming came alive when it mattered the most. They won the final quarter 20-5 and completed the turnaround to take control of the series, winning Game 1 by an expressive 10-point margin, 79-69.

Regg paced Bucks Gaming with 31 points and 13 assists, while also adding three steals. Arooks notched 16 points, while Squidris chipped in with a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. Squidris also shot a perfect 9-of-9 from the field. As for the Tigers, ShiftyKaii led them with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and he received plenty of help from the supporting cast. Deadeye had 15 points, Gen chipped in with 17 and TURNUPDEFENSE contributed 12 points, four boards and two steals.

The Tigers, however, didn’t allow themselves any chance of another meltdown in Game 2. They quickly jumped to a 28-15 lead after the first quarter but, unlike the earlier contest, they didn’t let it slip away this time. Instead, they kept building the lead and rounded out a dominant performance. The Gen.G Tigers topped the 20-point mark in every quarter separately, while shooting 42-of-57 from the floor and 12-of-18 from three-point range. On the other hand, the Bucks didn’t score more than 18 points in any quarter, while struggling badly from deep after making just nine of their 25 long-range attempts. The result was the Tigers evening the series at 1-1 following a 98-66 win.

ShiftyKaii was the main reason why the Tigers dominated this contest, as he finished with 53 points and 12 assists. Gen chipped in with 25 points, while Killeyy contributed a double-double (12 points and 12 assists) and also added eight assists and three steals. Regg once again led Bucks Gaming with 24 points and nine assists, but he also committed six turnovers. Squidris added another double-double (16 points, 13 rebounds, seven dimes) and Arooks chipped in with 12 points.

Just like the first two games, the Tigers once again got off to a strong start in Game 3. They were up 17-8 following the first quarter and, instead of sitting back, they further increased their lead up to 25 points, grabbing a 50-25 advantage at the break. Regg was a disappointment for Bucks Gaming during that stretch, committing five fouls to go with a plethora of turnovers. The Tigers didn’t take the foot of the gas in the third quarter and pushed their lead to 34 points after a 20-11 score. Bucks Gaming didn’t give up despite the deficit, but it was too much of a differential to overcome. Despite the efforts from Bucks Gaming, Tigers cruised their way to a comfortable 85-64 win and a 2-1 win in the series.
ShiftyKaii paced the Tigers with 41 points and 13 assists while shooting 20-of-27 from the field. Gen (20 points) and Deadeye (10 points) also contributed double-digit scoring figures, while Killeyy filled the stat sheet with six points, 13 boards, four assists, three steals and three blocks. Regg finished with 20 points and nine dimes, but he also committed 13 turnovers and five fouls. Plondo notched 11 points with five boards, while Squidris ended with 19 points, 14 boards and five assists.
