Blazer5 Gaming defeated Knicks Gaming by a 2-1 series score during their three-game set Wednesday evening.

Blazer5 Gaming got off to a strong start in Game 1 and quickly jumped to a 20-12 lead in the first quarter. They further extended their advantage at the break by 11 points (12-9), setting a 32-21 lead. Knicks Gaming attempted a comeback in the third quarter and shortened the gap by just five points following a 24-18 score. That high-scoring tendency remained in the fourth quarter, but Knicks Gaming couldn’t complete the comeback after a 21-21 score in the final minutes. Blazer5 Gaming won the contest 71-66, aided by a strong shooting performance – they went 29-of-44 from the field but only 5-of-13 from three-point range.
Mama Im Dat Man led the way for Blazer5 with 35 points and seven assists, although he only made three of his 10 three-point shots. OneWildWalnut delivered a double-double with 12 points and 13 points, while LavishPhenom registered 13 points while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field. OriginalMalik paced Knicks Gaming with 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field, including a perfect 5-for-5 from three. Duck notched 21 points with 10 assists but also committed five turnovers.

Knicks Gaming carried the momentum from the second half of Game 1 into Game 2 as they quickly jumped to a 23-4 lead after the first quarter. Blazers5 Gaming reduced the lead following a 20-15 second-quarter score, but they didn’t find a way to turn things around after the break. In fact, Knicks Gaming won the third quarter by a tight 22-21 score, building a 15-point lead (60-45) after three. Blazer5 won the final quarter by 10 points (19-9), but that wasn’t enough. Knicks Gaming forced a Game 3 following a 69-64 win.
Duck led the way for Knicks Gaming with 26 points – he was one of four players to score in double digits. OriginalMalik chipped in with 20 points and eight assists, EhTruth added 10 points, and CantGuardRob posted 11 points with 12 boards. Mama Im Dat Man went for 31 points in the loss, while OOC Slim added 17 points. OneWildWalnut chipped in with 10 points and 14 rebounds while adding five assists and four blocks.

Blazer5 Gaming needed a response in Game 3 and came out firing in the first quarter, notching a 10-point advantage after the first quarter (21-11). Knicks Gaming bounced back just before the break, however, and they reduced the gap to just seven points after a 18-15 score. Blazer5 Gaming recovered control of the contest with a 18-10 third quarter, and they wouldn’t relinquish their advantage. They closed the game on a strong note on route to a 69-57 win, as they took home the series by a 2-1 score.

Mama Im Dat Man posted 36 points for Blazer5 while adding eight assists. MaJes7ic had 14 points, and OneWildWalnut notched 10 points, 11 rebounds and a season-high six blocks. LavishPhenom filled the stat sheet with seven points, 10 steals, six rebounds and five assists. OriginalMalik had 22 points, four rebounds and four assists for Knicks Gaming, while Duck added 18 points with six dimes. CantGuardRob posted 13 rebounds but only scored six points.
