Jazz Gaming won 2-0 against Magic Gaming during their three-game set Thursday.
Jazz Gaming and Magic Gaming played a back-and-forth contest during Game 1 of their series on Thursday. Magic looked in control during the first quarter (19-16) and they pushed their lead to 11 points at the halftime break (37-26). Jazz Gaming began the comeback in the third quarter (13-8) and completed their turnaround in the fourth quarter. A 21-12 fourth quarter pushed Jazz Gaming upfront for good, as they ended winning the contest 60-57.
Splashy led the way with 18 points and six assists for Jazz Gaming, although Ria also scored 18 points and did a better job of filling out the stat sheet thanks to the fact he added 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. May led the way with a game-high 17 points, while DT contributed with a double-double of 14 points, 14 boards and seven assists. Reizey chipped in with 13 points and nine assists.
Jazz Gaming continued their momentum in Game 2 and quickly jumped to a 13-8 lead in the first quarter. The second quarter finished with a 11-11 score, but Jazz Gaming looked very dominant after the break. They topped their rivals with a combined 43-28 score in the second half, quickly cruising to a 67-47 win. As such, Jazz Gaming won the series by a 2-0 result.
Lotty paced Jazz Gaming with 25 points and two steals, while Splashy posted 11 points and 11 assists. Ria delivered another strong outing since he finished with 23 points, 19 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Reizey led the way for the Magic Gaming squad with 16 points and 10 assists, while DT scored 19 points while grabbing nine rebounds. No other Magic player scored in double digits.
Jazz Gaming will play again Friday since they will host Heat Check Gaming. On the other hand, Magic Gaming will take on Cavs Legion GC on May 26.
