Chalk up another W. After opening their season with a loss, the defending champions, T-Wolves Gaming, have now won three consecutive series following their sweep of Pistons GT on Wednesday.

Pistons GT began their season on a sluggish note Tuesday, ultimately getting swept by Wizards District Gaming, and it was a similar story from the start Wednesday. T-Wolves Gaming managed to assert their dominance early in Game 1 as they entered halftime leading 32-16. While Pistons GT managed to get some offensive production going during the second half, the T-Wolves kept pace to secure a comfortable 67-54 victory in the first contest.

BearDaBeast helped set the tone for T-Wolves Gaming in Game 1, as he finished with 31 points and three assists. He got help from FEAST, who had a big performance with 16 points, 14 rebounds and five assists as he converted on seven of his nine field goal attempts. For Pistons GT, Demon JT (17 points, three assists), DevGoss (14 points, two assists) and Joseph (13 points, seven rebounds) all finished with double-digit point totals, but their early deficit meant that they had to become more reliant on the three-point game, and they were unable to match up with T-Wolves Gaming’s efficient 62 percent field-goal conversion rate.

Pistons GT opened up Game 2 with a 15-15 tie at the end of the first quarter, but T-Wolves Gaming responded in the second quarter by ending the half with a 37-27 lead. The Detroit club managed to make the game competitive during the fourth quarter, but the T-Wolves managed to close the door late, securing a 79-69 win.

BearDaBeast had another big game in Game 2, finishing with 39 points, seven assists and three steals. His teammates were more effective as a whole in the second game as JMoney finished with 14 points and two steals. Big Saint (13 points, four steals) and FEAST (10 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks) also made major contributions toward the team’s victory. Pistons GT had a much more efficient game from the floor in Game 2, including 23 points and three steals from DevGoss, as well as 21 points and 10 assists from Demon JT. However, the team was unable to mount the late comeback Wednesday.

T-Wolves Gaming will look to continue their winning streak Tuesday against Mavs Gaming, while Pistons GT will attempt to get into the win column Wednesday against winless Lakers Gaming.
