Pacers Gaming defeated 76ers GC 2-0 during Tuesday evening’s Week 3 NBA 2K League matchup.
Pacers Gaming cruised towards a comfortable win in the first game of the series. Despite the fact 76ers GC got off to a strong start with a 20-14 lead in the first quarter, the Pacers would turn things around progressively as the game went on. Pacers Gaming held 76ers GC to single-scoring digits in both the second (17-7) and third (13-9) quarters which allowed them to build an eight-point lead heading into the final period. The home side sealed the deal with a 20-11 fourth-quarter score that put the finishing touches on a comfortable 64-47 win.
Four Pacers scored in double digits in the Game 1 victory. The duo of Jomar and WoLF paced the way with 16 points each, although the former also added 13 boards, five steals and five blocks. BOHIO notched 15 points and six assists. On the other hand, Radiant paced the 76ers with 20 points, but, as it has been the case all season long, he was sloppy with possession and committed eight turnovers. Scretty chipped in with 14 points, while Steez posted six points and 14 rebounds.
The second game started like the first one, with 76ers GC building a 14-12 lead following the first quarter only to see Pacers Gaming turn things around quickly. The home side won the second quarter by a 18-9 score, and that put them up by seven (30-23) at halftime. 76ers GC shortened the gap with a 18-17 third quarter, but Pacers Gaming pulled away for good in the fourth with a 14-13 score. They kept the seven-point differential until the end of the game, winning Game 2, 61-54, and the matchup 2-0.
All five Pacers Gaming players scored in double digits during Game 2. Swizurk notched 16 points, while NateKahl added 14 and BOHIO chipped in with 11 points and seven assists. WoLF and Jomar had 10 points each, but the latter also added 12 boards, five assists, three steals and two swats. Scretty led the way for 76ers GC with 19 points, while Radiant chipped in with 17 points and four assists. Steez did a great job of filling out the stat sheet, as he contributed 16 points, 19 rebounds and three dimes.
76ers GC will play again Wednesday against Gen.G Tigers. Meanwhile, Pacers Gaming will rest until Week 4 when they will take on Pistons GT on May 29.
