In a contest anointed as Game of the Week, 76ers GC and T-Wolves Gaming clashed in a 2019 Championship rematch on Friday. 76ers GC came into the game without a single win in any of their three series matchups. Although they passed that milestone Friday, they ultimately couldn’t close the deal, losing to the T-Wolves 2-1.

The first game was all T-Wolves, as the Sixers continued their skid, losing 67-55 to the defending champs. Minnesota’s standout 2019 first-round pick was lights out in this matchup, as BearDaBeast dominated with 40 points and seven assists. FEAST also came up big in the victory with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Game 2 marked the first win for the Sixers in any series this season, winning 69-63 to force a Game 3. After an abysmal 0-3 start, 76ers GC appeared to look a bit more like their 2019 selves. Last season, the team lived and died by Radiant, a two-sport esports star who fought through some early struggles but finally came alive in this game alongside Skretty, as the 76ers backcourt posted 25 points apiece.

The Sixers started off hot in Game 3, as Radiant poured in 10 points right away to give Philly a 15-6 lead. For a while, it looked like the Sixers were poised to notch their first series win, but a late surge by the T-Wolves and a missed free throw by Radiant spelled trouble for Philly in the final minutes. The T-Wolves prevailed in a close one, 72-68, spurred by another excellent performance from BearDaBeast (28 points, seven assists), JMoney (26 points) and FEAST (11 points, eight rebounds).

The T-Wolves (1-2) will next face Pistons GT in Week 3, while the 76ers GC (0-4) will try to end their losing streak against Gen.G on Tuesday.
