Warriors Gaming Squad lifted their record to 4-0 with a convincing 2-0 series win over Cavs Legion on Friday, establishing themselves as an early-season favorite for the 2020 title.
Although things looked even in the early-going, CB13 helped the Warriors pull away late in the game to seal a 61-56 win. He finished with 30 points and six assists. Slaughter continued his excellent play under the basket with a 20-point, 14-rebound double-double and four blocked shots.
The Cavs roared out to a 13-4 lead in the first quarter of the second game, but the Warriors erased their nine-point advantage by the end of the first half, and eventually put the game out of reach with a balanced effort from their starting five. Both Slaughter and CB13 dominated in this matchup, with Slaughter posting another double-double on the night.
Cavs Legion (1-3) will face Celtics Crossover Gaming in Boston’s first game of the season next Thursday. Warriors Gaming Squad (4-0) will attempt to make it five straight against the Lakers Gaming in Week 3.
