Pacers Gaming and Hawks Talon GC collided Friday night in a mostly one-sided affair. Hawks Talon GC got out of the gate quickly with a 19-8 first-quarter lead, but Pacers Gaming responded with a 21-10 second quarter to even the score at 29 apiece before halftime. Hawks Talon GC came out strong in the third quarter and took a six-point lead into the final period. A late push from Pacers Gaming kept the contest close to the end, but Hawks Talon GC held on for a narrow 57-55 victory.

The backcourt of Hawks Talon GC handled the scoring load, with Kel knocking in 25 points and BP chipping in 22 with seven dimes. Center Lee provided a double-double with 10 points and 20 boards, to go with four swipes and two swats. Swizurk led the charge for Pacers Gaming with 17 points, while NateKahl added 16 points and three steals, and BOHIO added 15 points and six assists. WoLF failed to get into the scoring column but made an impact with 11 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.

Hawks Talon GC took control of Game 2 with another dominant first quarter, going up 21-11 early. Pacers Gaming made up a little ground in the second quarter, but HTG went into the break, up 42-35 thanks to a massive, 24-point first half from BP.

After three quarters, Hawks Talon GC led 55-43 before pouring in 31 points in the fourth quarter to end the contest 86-65 and close out the series in two games. BP finished the game with a 34-point, 11-assist double-double, and Kel scored 16 of his 27 points in the second half. FollowTHEGOD added 12 points, and Lee chipped in eight points, 11 rebounds and three each of assists, blocks and steals to fuel the blowout in the decisive win. BOHIO led Pacers Gaming with 20 points and five assists, while NateKahl and Jomar each knocked in 14 points. Swizurk – the team’s leading scorer in Game 1 – managed just nine points on 2-of-8 shooting, and WoLF finished with eight points, 13 boards, three assists and three blocks.

Hawks Talon GC closes out Week 2 on a high note, improving to 3-1 on the season, while Pacers Gaming ends the week on a sour note, dropping to 1-3. Pacers Gaming resumes play Monday against 76ers GC, while Hawks Talon GC gets nearly a week off before playing its next game Thursday.
