Kings Guard Gaming and Gen.G Tigers played a back-and-forth series, but in the end, Guard Gaming secured a 2-1 series win after topping their opposition in the decisive Game 3.
Things started quite intense in Game 1, as both teams traded buckets during the first three quarters. Kings Gaming got on top 24-17 following the first quarter and held a seven-point lead at half-time, but Gen.G shortened the game thanks to a 18-13 third-quarter score. Kings Guard Gaming held a two-point lead entering the fourth quarter but, in a marvelous span of dominance, Kings Guard Gaming secured a 78-55 win in Game 1 after winning the final quarter by an expressive 23-2 score.
Bash paced Kings Guard Gaming with 26 points and six assists, while Semmo chipped in with 19 points. The real star, however, was Dat Boy Shotz who finished with a triple-double thanks to 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Shiftykaii led the Gen.G Tigers with 25 points and six assists, while Killey contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds to the losing cause.
Kings Guard Gaming kept the momentum going in Game 2 and won the first quarter 16-15, but Gen.G responded with a 24-8 second quarter that put them ahead by 15 points. Kings Guard Gaming reduced the edge to nine points with a 20-14 third quarter and they also won the final quarter 17-15, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback. Gen.G secured the victory in Game 2 by a 68-61 score.
Killeyy led the Tigers with 32 points and 13 rebounds, while ShiftyKaii chipped in with 15 points and nine assists. Gen also scored in double digits since he ended with 13 points. As for the Kings Guard Gaming, Bash and Seemo produced 18 points each while Dat Boy Shotz notched a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards.
Gen.G Tigers carried the momentum into Game 3, as they jumped out to a 17-10 lead following the first quarter. Kings Guard Gaming, however, came out with a vengeance just before half-time and quickly grabbed a one-point lead thanks to a 19-11 score in the second quarter. The Kings expanded their advantage after winning the third quarter 18-10 and while the Tigers stormed back with a 19-17 fourth quarter, it wasn’t enough to close out the deal. Kings Guard Gaming secured the win and the series.
Bash led the way for Kings Gaming Squad with 43 points and three assists. He was the only Kings player who reached double digits in scoring, as he carried the team when they needed it the most. Dat Boy Shotz filled the stat sheet with four points, nine rebounds, eight assists and one block. ShiftyKaii paced the Tigers with 27 points and seven assists, while Killey notched another double-double thanks to 10 points and 18 boards. TURNUPDEFENSE posted 11 points and two boards.
