Knicks Gaming dominated Game 1 and overcame a slow start in Game 2 to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over Heat Check Gaming on Wednesday evening.

Knicks Gaming got off to an impressive start in the first matchup and quickly jumped to an eight-point lead following the first quarter (19-11). They would never let that advantage slip away. The Knicks won the second quarter by one point (15-14) and, even though Heat Check reduced the deficit slightly in the third quarter (18-17), the Knicks didn’t have problems to pull away for good in the final frame. A 15-13 fourth-quarter score pushed the Knicks to a comfortable 10-point win, as they sealed Game 1 with a 66-56 score.

The backcourt duo of Duck and OriginalMalik created havoc on Heat Check Gaming, and both players led the Knicks offensively with 28 and 20 points, respectively. Duck did a good job distributing the ball as well since he finished with eight assists. CantGuardRob posted an impressive 10-point, 17-rebound double-double, and he also added four assists to his name. GlennRatty paced Heat Check Gaming with 28 points, but the rest of the team didn’t follow him. Hotshot had a strong effort, however, as he posted 10 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.

Heat Check Gaming seemed set to turn things around in Game 2 and dominated the first quarter. They went on top by a 22-14 score and seemed set to avenge the previous loss, but their momentum faded away quickly. The Knicks responded with dominant performances on both ends of the court during the second and third quarters, winning both frames 26-8 and 22-9, respectively. That pushed Knicks Gaming to a 62-39 lead heading into the final quarter. Heat Check couldn’t mount the comeback, and Knicks Gaming cruised their way towards a comfortable 84-62 victory.

Knicks Gaming delivered a strong team effort to seal the win as every member of the starting lineup scored in double digits. OriginalMalik paced the way with 24 points, while BigRiM added 18, Duck notched 17 and HazzaUK posted 10 points with five boards. CantGuardRob delivered another double-double thanks to 15 points and 17 rebounds. As for Heat Check Gaming, GlennRatty posted 18 points and seven assists, but he also committed seven turnovers. Hotshot paced the team with 28 points and 18 rebounds.

Knicks Gaming will play Thursday at home against Bucks Gaming. Meanwhile, Heat Check Gaming won’t see the court until Week 3, when they face Jazz Gaming on May 21
