T-Wolves Gaming Hold Onto 4th Quarter lead

June 26, 2019

T-Wolves Gaming nearly saw a sizable fourth-quarter lead evaporate in the final few moments, but instead managed to hang on 51-45 and pick up yet another critical win Wednesday, this time against Kings Guard Gaming during Week 10 of the NBA 2K League.

Make that four wins in a row for T-Wolves Gaming (7-6), who prior to the start of June looked to be dead in the water. Two straight wins Wednesday – against two teams qualified for the playoffs in Kings Guard Gaming and Warriors Gaming Squad no less – have not only set up Minnesota to earn one of the final playoff spots, but potentially even move higher up the standings.

It certainly helps that Kings Guard Gaming (10-5) just came out flat in this contest, with star point guard Bp routinely struggling with a cold ring throughout the first half. Sporting a 15-point lead in the first half and a 13-point lead by the end of the third quarter, it certainly appeared as if T-Wolves Gaming would pick up a thoroughly dominate victory, led by the continual heroics of point guard BearDaBeast, who posted 18 points and 10 assists by the third quarter.

Instead, a bevy of mistakes and second-chance opportunities allowed Kings Guard Gaming to finally wake up, connecting on four of seven three points in the final quarter while turning the ball over just one time. Bp and small forward BallLikeSeem would catch on late, scoring 13 of the team’s final 17 points, but a corner three from T-Wolves Gaming’s power forward FEAST would emphatically stick a dagger in the come-from-behind attempt.

BearDaBeast would finish with a game-high 18 points and 11 assists, but considering the majority of that production occurred through the first three quarters, it’s likely a bit of a sour note for the outspoken point guard. Center JoJo was the other major factor for T-Wolves Gaming, registering 14 points by collecting a variety of pivotal rebounds en route to tying a game-high eight rebounds.
