Pacers Gaming Rally in 4th for Win

June 19, 2019

Pacers Gaming survived a close TICKET rematch against Knicks Gaming during Wednesday’s Week 9 affair, walking away with a 50-47 victory.

Pacers Gaming (8-4) were the superior team last Saturday, relying on the likes of Ramo to carry the team to the championship final, but it was clear from the onset that Knicks Gaming (2-10), HazzaUK in particular, had picked up the usual tricks. The fact that Ramo, who averaged over 27 points in four tournament games last week, was held to just eight points in the second half after registering 15 in the first, speaks to improved defense from Knicks Gaming.

As a result, Pacers Gaming, having entered the third quarter with a three point lead, quickly watched the Knicks race out to a 10-4 advantage, essentially commandeering the pace of the game and forcing Pacers Gaming to scrap their effective first-half offense in lieu of easier transition buckets.

That forced Pacers Gaming center, Lord Beezus, to step up to the occasion, and the 2019 second-round pick responded in turn, recording eight points and six rebounds in the final six minutes of the contest. Beezus was on the receiving end of perhaps the game’s final dagger, cutting from the right side into the paint after Ramo stumbled back to near half court with just seconds remaining on the shot clock. A desperation pass found its way into the hands of the Pacers center, who miraculously laid in the basket despite heavy resistance from Knicks Gaming’s low-post defense, putting his team up three points with just a handful of seconds left to play.

A missed corner three pointer by YEYNotGaming gave way to a Pacers win, all but ending Knicks Gaming’s ill-fated playoffs hopes in the process. Besides Ramo and Lord Beezus, not a single member from Pacers Gaming scored in the double digits, while three members of Knicks Gaming – iamadamthe1st (14 points, 10 assists), HazzaUK (10 points, 4-6 FG) and Idrisdagoat6 (18 points, 15 rebounds) all posted numbers in the double figures.
