Pacers Gaming Finally End Losing Streak

June 7, 2019

Pacers Gaming (6-4) ended its losing streak with a big 69-59 win over Grizz Gaming (4-6) on Friday during Week 8 of the NBA 2K League.

Pacers Gaming had been on a losing streak as of late, unsure of how to best utilize its players after starting the season off strong. Finally, though, there seems to be a clear path going forward. Swizurk provides solid ball-handling from the point guard position and, even though he only scored 10 points, remains a lethal shooter. Man In A Car started the evening cold but eventually warmed up and scorched the Grizz for 20 points on seven-of-11 shooting, making six-of-10 three point attempts. The real stars today, though, were Ramo on power forward and Lord Breezus at center. Ramo was loud and energetic all over the court, finishing with 20 points, five rebounds, eight assists and three steals and served to emotionally charge up his teammates. Lord Beezus contributed a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double with plenty of offensive rebounds that gave the Pacers an extra offensive edge to go along with its well-respected defense. This Pacers lineup might be best we’ve ever seen, and they aren’t afraid to tell other teams themselves.

Grizz Gaming, meanwhile, drop to 15th in the league in somewhat disappointing fashion. Jayrod struggled the most against the Pacers defense, scoring only three points on one-of-eight shooting, one-of-six from downtown. Vandi did his best to make up for the lack of firepower, scoring 20 points of his own, but his six turnovers hurt the Grizz seeing as the Pacers only committed seven turnovers as a team. AuthenticAfrican looked like his consistently good self, notching a 16-point, 12-point double-double. Pacers Gaming is certainly a formidable opponent at sixth in the standings, but the time is now for Grizz Gaming to start picking up wins and turning around their season if it’s gonna happen at all.
