Bp, Kings Guard Gaming Set Records in Win

May 15, 2019

Kings Guard Gaming picked up an impressive 81-61 win over Pacers Gaming on Wednesday during Week 5 of the NBA 2k League.

After a disappointing second-round exit at THE TURN, powered by AT&T, Bp came alive against the previously undefeated Pacers (4-1). The Kings Guard Gaming (5-2) point guard set a couple of records against what was widely regarded as the best defense in the league prior to Wednesday. Bp set the record for most made three pointers with 11 and tied the season record for points scored with 41, dominating the Pacers in what proved to be a futile attempt to lock him up. What’s more, the Kings set a record by making 20 three-point shots as a team, with BallLikeSeem hitting seven threes en route to his 25. Despite Bp carrying a majority of the offensive load, this was a complete team win for the Kings Guard. Worthingtoncolt was a rock in the paint, Zakyy610 helped hold the Pacers backcourt to just 14 points, and Yusuf_Scarbz made his mark with four steals and two blocks. With a potential Rookie of the Year candidate in Bp and a solid supporting cast, the Kings Guard have proven that they belong on top of the standings.

Pacers Gaming had a great start to the season but couldn’t maintain its defensive prowess in the face of the Kings’ prolific attack. WoLF 74 is known as one of the best defenders in the league but he couldn’t stop Bp from running roughshod over the Pacers. Swizurk put up 28 from the small forward position along with three rebounds, six assists and two steals but he couldn’t get enough help from his teammates. Even though Swizurk went bucket-for-bucket with Bp in the second half, the Kings’ defensive rotations kept Swiz from taking over late while Bp did whatever he wanted. Getting outscored in every quarter, the Pacers suffered its worst loss in franchise history, giving up a record 81 to start the post-THE TURN campaign.
