After managing to stave off a comeback attempt in Game 2 of the series, Kings Guard Gaming swept Grizz Gaming on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T.

Kings Guard Gaming took control of Game 1 early on by jumping out to a 39-29 lead at the end of the first half. Sacramento had a dominant third quarter as well to bring the score to 66-42, and Grizz Gaming shifted their focus to Game 2 as Kings Guard Gaming picked up an 84-52 win.

Bash was dominant for Kings Guard Gaming in Game 1 with 46 points, nine assists and two steals. Crush was productive on both sides of the ball, finishing with 12 points, seven steals and five assists. Seemo (12 points, two steals) and Dat Boy Shotz (six points, nine rebounds, four blocks) also put forth impressive stat lines in the blowout win. Grizz Gaming struggled to maintain possession, committing 16 turnovers throughout the contest. Vandi led the team in scoring with 15 points and four assists, but he also committed 10 turnovers. G O O F Y 7 5 7 also managed to generate good offensive production with 11 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but he gave up four turnovers of his own.

Grizz Gaming came ready to play in Game 2, and the team was able to generate a 38-35 lead at the end of the first half. Kings Guard Gaming brought the score within one point at the end of the third quarter, and after a back-and-forth final frame, Sacramento escaped with a 69-62 victory to secure their place in the semifinal round.

For Kings Guard Gaming, Bash didn’t get as many scoring opportunities in the second contest, but he still finished with 27 points, four rebounds and three steals. Seemo was able to step up with 19 points, two rebounds and two assists, while Dat Boy Shotz also had a solid performance with eight points, nine rebounds and five assists. Vandi was able to generate more production for Grizz Gaming on offense the second time around with 29 points and seven assists, but he once again struggled with ball control with six turnovers. G O O F Y 7 5 7 was able to pick up a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, but he also gave up six turnovers.

Grizz Gaming’s next appearance will come Tuesday against Gen.G Tigers, while Kings Guard Gaming will face either Jazz Gaming or Pistons GT on Friday for a spot in the finals of THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T.
