Entering a pivotal matchup versus T-Wolves Gaming on Wednesday, Hornets Venom GC struggled to find their rhythm in the first quarter. They shifted their approach starting the second quarter, however, and never looked back afterwards. The Venom reduced what was a six-point first quarter deficit to just one point by halftime (31-30) and grabbed the lead (51-44) by the time the third quarter ended. The Hornets closed things out in the fourth quarter and cruised their way to a comfortable 72-63 win.

As has been the case all season long, the trio of Snubby, Zae and Type paced Hornets Gaming. The star point guard chipped in with 20 points and six assists, while the power forward notched 24 points and six boards. Type registered a double-double of 16 points and 11 boards while also dishing out five dimes. BearDaBeast was the T-Wolves’ best player, ending with 29 points, seven assists and three steals. FEAST chipped in with a strong double-double of 16 points and 17 boards, while also adding five blocks and four assists. Jojo added eight points for the losing cause.

T-Wolves Gaming wouldn’t make the same mistake in Game 2, jumping out to a 24-12 lead in the first quarter, a lead they would never relinquish. Despite a late charge from the Hornets in the fourth quarter (27-19), it was too late to turn things around. The T-Wolves won Game 2 comfortably by a 86-67 score.

BearDaBeast paced T-Wolves Gaming with 42 points and four assists, while Jojo added 17 points and five assists. FEAST had an impressive performance, however, as he concluded with 14 points, 28 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two swats. Expose had 20 points for the Hornets, but his efforts weren’t enough. Snubby chipped in with 13 points but shot just 4-of-10 from the field. Type contributed a triple-double, finishing with 14 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists.
