After an up-and-down start to the regular season, Cavs Legion GC began THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T, on a high note by sweeping T-Wolves Gaming on Wednesday.

T-Wolves Gaming jumped out to a 19-14 lead at the end of the first quarter of Game 1, but Cavs Legion GC surged to a two-point lead at the end of the half. The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied 51-51, but Cleveland managed to have the advantage in the fourth quarter, finishing the game with a 74-69 victory.

For Cavs Legion GC, Strainer’s high shot volume allowed him to pick up 36 points along with eight assists. He got help from oLarry, who was perfect on his field goals and finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks, while Doza went 3-for-5 from three-point range to tally 11 points. BearDaBeast led T-Wolves Gaming in scoring with 25 points, but he also committed five turnovers. FEAST also had a big game with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while JoJo was also efficient on the scoreboard with 13 points.

In Game 2, T-Wolves Gaming once again developed a lead to begin the game and entered halftime leading 29-32. However, that advantage was erased by Cavs Legion GC in the opening minutes of the second half as the Cavs squad outscored the Wolves 24-12 in the third quarter before securing a comfortable 68-56 win.

Strainer had another solid game for Cavs Legion GC in the second game with 24 points, 10 assists and four steals, but it was a much more complete game as a team as oLarry had 12 points and 11 rebounds, along with strong performances from All Hail Trey (12 points, four assists, four steals) and Goddof2k (12 points, two steals). As a team, T-Wolves Gaming shot just 22-of-42 and committed 13 turnovers. BearDaBeast had 16 points and eight assists, but he also contributed seven of the team’s turnovers. FEAST was effective with 20 points and 10 rebounds, but he also had ball-handling issues, committing four turnovers.

Cavs Legion GC will look to maintain their momentum in THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T against Wizards District Gaming later Wednesday, while T-Wolves Gaming will attempt to bounce back against Hornets Venom GT.
